If you’ve been around the blog at all lately, you might have noticed that I have a new identity! I didn’t mean for it to be so spontaneous but it kind of just happened that way. If you receive my newsletter, you will have had a little bit of backstory but figured now it’s time for me to spill the beans on all that has occurred!
I’ve gone back and forth for a while now about whether or not to change my name. I waffled around for a few weeks, asking different friends, family, and third parties about their opinions on “Tapestry Chronicles” and what it would mean to them if I changed my name. Ultimately, I sat down and thought of the future of my blog and business and where I wanted it to go. I was in denial about letting go of Tapestry Chronicles. It has been my blog baby for a few years and the name itself has deep meaning for me. However, after thinking and praying about it for some time, I came to the conclusion that it was time for me to lay it down and begin with a fresh name. My hubby and I brainstormed for a few days about what we wanted the future of the blog to look like and the feel we wanted it to have. We decided on “Pursue Simple Joy” because it embodies our life goal and the purpose behind why we live the way we do. We want to literally pursue simple joy.
What Pursue Simple Joy is About:
My Heart hasn’t changed behind the blog, but we ultimately want all of our posts to point back to how you can grow in your joy, whether it’s through encouraging words, simple solutions for budgeting, DIY, meal plans, health, etc. We will be intentional with our content and make sure that we’re bringing value that is practical and useful.
When we were thinking of names, we wanted to make sure that it was something that embodied what we believed, lived, and breathed. “Pursue Simple Joy” is just that. We believe everyone can live a life of simplicity. Simplicity doesn’t mean that you have a “lack” of stuff or money or experiences. It just means that you are focusing on the things that matter in life; family, friends, God. Isn’t that what most of the population cares about? Wanting to spend more time with their family, friends, and living a meaningful life? I’m not saying that other desires and pursuits aren’t important like education, gainful employment or worldwide travel. All of those have a time and place.
You’ll still find all of the same content here, we are mindful of how you spend your time and want to make sure that you are being good stewards of the time and resources God has given you.
I hope you like what you see here and that you will be blessed.
Thank you for supporting us and our endeavors!
