5 Very Merry DIY Essential Oil Christmas Gifts & Stocking Stuffers
Would you like to give out impressive, hand-crafted gifts to your family and friends this year?
What if those gifts were not only genuinely beneficial… but super affordable too?
If that sounds like a great idea to you, then this might be the year that you hand out some fantastic DIY essential oil Christmas gifts.
#1 – Peppermint & Rosemary Essential Oil Shampoo
This is an excellent and simple DIY recipe to prepare as a gift. Appropriate for both men and women, organic shampoo is actually a great “gateway” for people into the world of essential oils. It works great, smells divine, and only requires a few ingredients (as opposed to the dozens of synthetic chemicals in most store-bought shampoo).
You’ll just need:
½ cup organic, unscented castile soap
½ cup distilled, filtered, or boiled water
18 drops of rosemary essential oil
Only 2 drops of peppermint essential oil
Mix together in a repurposed shampoo bottle or use one of these and that’s it!
#2 – Soothing Lavender Essential Oil Lip Balm
For lip balm recipes, you’ll almost always need a couple ounces of beeswax. It’s not as hard as it sounds to find. You can pick it up at most health stores, or order it online. To make a great lavender lip balm, carefully heat the following:
Pour into a container and let cool. Lavender is excellent for your skin and this lip balm smells great.
#3 – Invigorating All-Natural Essential Oil Room Spray
Room sprays are some of the easiest DIY essential oil projects and they only take a few minutes to put together. Don’t let the simplicity fool you—an essential oil room spray works brilliantly and smells great.
Combine a cup of water with a tablespoon of rubbing alcohol (the alcohol makes the air freshener dry faster) in a spray bottle, then add about 20 drops of essential oil. Peppermint and cedar are a great holiday-themed combination.
#4 – Roller Bottle Blends
Roller bottles are perfect stocking stuffer sized gifts. Making your own blend can be fun and useful for the recipient. For example, try out this blend that will soothe a throbbing head in a jiffy:
10 drops peppermint
10 drops eucalyptus
10 drops lavender
10 drops rosemary
#5 – DIY Essential Oil Diffuser Blends
This is your opportunity to get creative! If you have a blend that you love for your own diffuser, why not share the goodness with your family and friends? If you’re going all out and getting someone a diffuser, this is the perfect complimentary gift. It transforms a store bought gift into something a bit more thoughtful—you created something yourself.
If you’re stuck for ideas, here’s a great holiday-themed diffuser blend:
2 drops cinnamon
2 drops orange
3 drops frankincense
Are You Staying Organized?
The better organized your essential oils are, the more likely you are to use them.
